This book is Coach Steve Silvey's complete training program of workouts that he used for the 2005 Texas Tech track and field season.  In 2005 the Men's track and field program won its first ever Big 12 Conference "TEAM" championship.  That day the Red Raiders scored 149.50 points to win the championship and over 100+ of these points were scored by Silvey's group of sprinters, hurdlers and relays.

This 106 page book features workouts beginning in the fall conditioning and takes the athlete all of the way to the NCAA Championships in June.  It's a great book for the coach who wants to know how to plan workouts for the entire season for the following events:  100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 110 hurdles and the 400 meter hurdles and the 400 and 1,600 meter relays.

In 2005, Silvey was inducted into the National Junior College Hall of Fame for the accomplishments during his time as Head Coach for the national powerhouse,
Blinn Junior College (1987-1994).  While at Blinn his teams won 15 Men's National "TEAM" Championships -- an All-Time National Record- and produced 128 individual National Champions, 600+ All-American awards and 27 National Relay Championships.

Coach Silvey has been part of 28 National Championships teams.  While at the University of Arkansas (1994-2000) he has been part of 13 NCAA Championships and 17 SEC titles.  Silvey then headed to the University of Oregon and they quickly became the PAC-10 Runner-ups in 2002 and won the PAC-10 Championship in 2003.  Coach Silvey helped Texas Tech University  win its first Big 12 Conference Championship in school History in 2005 & were Big 12 Runner ups in 2007.  Coach Silvey has produced numerous NCAA Champions, NCAA Runner-ups, NCAA Regional Champions NCAA All-Americans, SEC, PAC-10 and Big 12 Champions.

Coach Silvey has also coached 36 Olympians (17 Medalists) & 43 athletes that competed at the World Track and Field Championships (21 medalists).
