It is best to use a lower dose, individualize it based on personal tolerance, and experiment with different timing and strategies beforehand.

Strategies to Minimize Side Effects:

Take With Food: Ingest sodium bicarbonate with a high-carbohydrate meal to help reduce gastrointestinal distress. Make sure you are well Hydrated.   We recommend 100 ounces of fluid a day!

Take Product in Capsules Form : Our Special "Delayed Release" capsules are easier on the stomach.

Experiment: It is crucial to test how your body reacts to the supplement during training before using it in a competition.

Divide Doses: Some strategies involve taking smaller, divided doses over time instead of one large dose all at once.

Risks of High Doses: 

Side effects: Higher doses of sodium bicarbonate can cause stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, and nausea, which can negatively impact performance. Individual Sensitivity: The severity of these side effects varies from person to person. 

Dosage Recommendations: (general guideline)  Use 0.3 grams per kilogram of body weight for sports performance, with a range of 0.2 to 0.4 g/kg commonly cited.
